Highland AFJROTC Exceeds Expectations

Highland AFJROTC Exceeds Expectations

On April 2nd, some of Highland's finest underwent an inspection by Headquarters AFJROTC. A Regional Director inspected the unit's cadet operation, administration's support to the program and instructor's management of the unit. Cadets were also inspected during a mass formation and had to demonstrate knowledge of drill and color guard procedures.

The event lasted the entire day but at the end the unit scored a 90.3 out of 100. This score puts them in the exceeds category for inspection scoring and demonstrates the continued improvement of the unit. A highlight from the inspectors briefing to Principal Varga was the feedback from the inspector who stated that the color demonstration showed it was good enough to be viewed on National television!

The instructors and cadets from the program thank the district and building administration for their continued support and the unit will continue to work on being a beacon of positivity within the school and district.
