Class of 2029
Class of 2029
With the approach of second semester you have officially become "seasoned high schoolers" - what does this mean? It means that you are seasoned into the expectations of being a student at Highland High School. You understand what is expected of you both in and out of the classroom.
Now is the time to really find your niche, find a new club, activity or sport that helps you get out of your shell and helps you become more a part of the school community. Start thinking about the classes you want to take sophomore year - figure out how you want to leave your mark on Highland!
As we get ready for changes with cell phones, please read below with some key steps to being successful throughout your time at Highland.
Please be sure to arrive each day with your ID on and Chromebooks charged.
January 29th -- Cellphone FREE school!!
Please make sure you are securing it in your pouch - be aware of the consequences!
Some vital keys to success are:
- Attendance - you DO NOT want to push your attendance with unexcused absences and tardies. You have two weeks to turn in a doctors' note.
- Grades - pay attention to your grades and seek extra help when needed. Attend after school support on Tuesdays/Thursdays
- Dress code - Be mindful of the dress code. Please NO pajama pants, head wear, inappropriate clothing, etc.
- IDs - wear it everyday!
- Attitude - Go into each day with a positive mindset and leave the drama behind
-- Make these days the best days --
Please make sure to check the Important Dates tab as well for all things to get excited about for this school year.
As always, stop by A121 to see me or Ms. Gale if you need anything!
